Subject New At Tunes: Russhole

Greetings,
A mere three years after their last album shifted a bog-
blocking 156 copies in the UK in its first week of release,
sphincter-faced thesp Russell Crowe has revealed that his
band 30 Odd Foot of Grunts has split. The grouchy Australian
posted a message on the 'Gruntland' website informing legions
of expectant fans that the lumpen rock outfit "seems to have
dissolved/evolved", adding that although disappointed, he was
now free to "talk from my heart and mind simultaneously about
things that are important to me now" (i.e. himself). Ergo,
the dreaded solo project.
Following a non-existent record label bidding war, the
first single, 'Raewyn' (literally,'Rubbish' in Welsh), is to be
released through iTunes, carrying an endorsement from Crowe's
songwriting hero, Sting, which "gives testament to the quiet
power of the song". Crowe himself describes 'Raewyn' as the
only song he's ever written "that has made both men and women
cry, think and call their parents, usually in that order",
while the forthcoming album 'My Hand, My Heart' - or 'Your Face,
My Arse' as it will come to be known - will leave listeners
"seduced by its beauty", no less. Someone tell him...
