New At Tunes: Free The Whitechapel One |
Greetings,
Spare a thought for Potty Pete, banged up again after
getting his collar felt in East London. The cops pulled
him and a small wrap of white powder on Thursday night
in Whitechapel because, in the words of the arresting
officer, "he looked dishevelled and is a known drug user".
Now to my knowledge, that's pretty much the status quo
in Whitechapel at any time of day, but there you are.
Clearly a bit of a grasshopper when it comes to
staying out of trouble, Doherty is nevertheless cutting
his own wobbly groove without the guidance of an army of
advisors, which is both unusual and perilous. As a sad
consequence however, he's shaping up to become the next
media-assisted suicide. Perhaps he just needs his mum.
##ALBUM OF THE WEEK##
>>>>Re:Creation - Backini<<
The follow-up to Rob Quickenden's debut Backini album
'Threads' comes on the back of his transposition from
bedroom producer to full live band, giving 'Re:Creation'
a more frisky, organic feel, while retaining the cheeky
sampling approach of its predecessor.
