Subject New At Tunes: Greensleeves

Greetings,
Razorlight. I've been patient with these preening farts,
but looking at the latest press shots they've mugged up
for in support of their new album, I can only wonder why
they haven't been properly kicked to bits yet.
As is the mode when styling the current plague of
mummy's boy rock bands, the trick is to dress an ice cream
cone in leather and glue something stupid where the Mr.
Whippy usually goes. Thus, cocky singer bloke / blokey
singer cock Johny Borrell has a head modelled on a squinting,
brutalised rectum covered in boiled string.
Sticking to the template, 'The Ego' is flanked by
'The Two No-Marks', looking like they woke up wearing each
other's eyeballs and pulling appropriately glum expressions
beneath $100 haircuts from Gummidge & Blunkett.
As is so often the case, however, it's to the drummer
that you are ultimately drawn. While most likely the nicest
young man in this dismal combo, the fact remains that no
amount of "back a bit more, just into the shadow" photographic
direction can the conceal the inside-out horse's head welded
onto his particular leather-clad cone. Quite spectacular.
Naturally, I haven't heard 'Razorlight' by Razorlight.
So why is it that I can't escape seeing their stupid faces on
every available flat surface? It's putting me off my 99...
