Inspired by Hungary`s Lake Balaton (a popular destination for the Budapest chillout crew, the story goes) this compilation is as mellow as they come. Lounged-out beats, tinkling Rhodes pianos, filtered samples, dubby delays, lilting percussion and deep, deep basslines abound. But this is no second-rate Ibiza chill; `Balaton Grooves` instead showcases some real innovations within an often lazily serviced genre.
