The Stix - Jaga Jazzist

Electronica + post-rock, + jazz = Scandinavian leftfield nu-jazz supergroup Jaga Jazzist. Eloquently summarized by Jockey Slut magazine as sounding "like Charles Mingus with Aphex Twin up his arse", the description is pretty much spot-on. Here, they follow up their `A Living Room Hush` debut album with something even better.

Another gem from the Scandinavian cats. I was impressed with the debut and they continue to formulate new music concepts, further establishing themselves as unique.

When I saw the Jazzist's perform 'I Could Have Killed Him In The Sauna' live, I had to laugh, because it was so tight that I couldn't believe they were pulling it off! Bear that in mind when you hear it on this LP, it hasn't been electronically achieved, it's been played by some great musicians. Just like 'A Living Room Hush' there's not one bad tune on this LP either. Jaga Jazzist's ability to make disjointed, chaotic jazz, sound so melodic & listener friendly is exceptionally clever, & seems so natural.

This is the MOST beautiful, haunting, astounding, fantastic & superb album, ever made in the history of mankind
