Zurich based production and DJ collective Freeform Arkestra started out performing with horns, percussion, vocals, poetry and 4 deck mixing with specially pressed dubplates. Their sound has moved on significantly with `Metamorphosis`, although the Sun Ra influence is still prominent on this excellent set of leftfield jazz-hop tracks.

Wow! I put the lava lamp on, lay on the sofa, & started the record! Now, having heard 'Metamorphosis' from beginning to end, I really do feel that I've been on a fantastic journey through time & space. I do believe that Nico & Dario have discovered the spacecraft deserted by Sun Ra & Hawkwind, & rebooted the engine. This record is both weird & wonderful, deep & meaningful, & it breaks ground in it's quest for timeless pieces of musical adventure. It'll last forever - Space is deep!

The first track is almost evil! That is one of the best bass grooves I've heard hold up a song in a while. I'll buy this.
