Alexander Ståhle's Stockholm Cyclo has its roots in experiments with quirky synthesizers and funky drum machines in the early '90s fused with inspiration from his work as a jazz drummer. After debuting on the Raw Fusion label, he refined his electronic nu-jazz, broken beats and futuristic soul sound, engaging some of his old friends who now work as professional jazz musicians to create a hybrid of Detroit-inspired rhythms, jazzy Scandinavian theories and hard electro-jazz style with a touch of West London and Berlin.
