Sierra Leone singer, guitarist and bandleader Geraldo Pino had a huge influence on West Africa's soul/funk/Afro-beat scene during the '60s and '70s, influencing the likes of Fela Kuti but remaining relatively unknown beyond his own locale. This album was recorded as a live session in 1972, and gets a much deserved limited release on vinyl only through the excellent Soundway label.
