Edinburgh-based organic hip hop jazz collective Livesciences recorded this album live and without overdubs over four days in a disused Victorian church, taking on the production values of '60s and '70s funk and jazz and encouraging the musicians involved to improvise as much as possible. The result is an album with a unique energy, that's been compared to The Roots and Def Tex among others.
