Michel Baumann began his electronic music journey back in 1996 as Jackmate, releasing 12"s on labels like Pokerflat, Playhouse and G-Stone before starting his own imprint, Philpot/Phil_e. This debut for Sonar Kollektiv brings influences from Baumann's hip hop, funk and jazz roots to his Chicago-influenced core sound.
