So. Cal native Aloe Black began his recording career as an MC back in 1995, working alongside hip hop producer Exile as Emanon. More recently he has been dubbed “the indie R. Kelly”, but don't let that put you off. This album sees the talented multi-instrumentalist, producer and vocalist expanding into a wider musical repetoire with soul acoustic hip hop, digital R&B and Latin grooves and innovative cover versions of Marley and Sam Cooke tracks.
