Toby Marks, aka Banco de Gaia, has spent most of his career making exploratory electronic music inspired by serious issues, most notably on his critically acclaimed 1995 album 'Last Train To Lhasa', which highlighted the plight of the Tibetan people. 'Farewell Ferengistan' concerns itself with everyone's favourite 21st century malaise, materialism, with an experimental collection of tracks united by exotic vocals and haunting instrumentation.
