This is the first album release on Calm Beast Records, a label set up to put out the best in new (not �nu�) jazz. Sugar Beats� style is difficult to pin down, but that might explain why it appeals to so many different people. This album represents the journey of a typical Sugar Beats set, mixing up tempos, feels and rhythms but somehow holding together as an individual sound. Fans include the likes of Russ Dewbury, Gilles P, & Mr Scruff.
