Fred is of course best-known as a member of the JB’s and an ever-present James Brown sideman. This recording is later than his brilliant ‘People’ Label recordings but it’s a great slice of party starting funk. Its all there, the throbbing bassline, the trombone riffs and Fred’s engaging vocal.
