Original member of the Brand New Heavies, Jim Wellman originally started this project back in '94, getting together a group of UK musicians which reads pretty much like a 'who's who' of British Jazz-Funk including Dennis Rollins, Lascelles Gordon, Mike Smith and Gerard Presencer amongst others.
Unfortunately shortage of funding meant that the project was shelved until 2001 when , inspired by renewed interest in his earlier work, and determined not to let the project just die, he finished off the project with the not inconsiderable help of one Mr. Roy Ayers who appears on 6 of the 12 songs, and vocalises on 2 of them.
A piece of jazz-funk history which we are pleased to make available at this affordable price.
