While not as well known as `Gears`, this album is revered by fusion fans and is a must for any serious collection. Gambler`s Life is significant to Hammond`s career because it marks the beginning of Hammond`s move away from the organ to the electric piano and was produced by the talented Mizell Brothers. This is one the finest albums of it`s type currently available (thank you Soul Brother Records for the re-release). If you are in any doubt, here`s the superstar roster of artists who collaborated on this album: Ron Carter, Grover Washington Jr, Harvey Mason, Eric Gale & last but not least, George Benson.

Had this album for years, still play it death, its just pure quality. Out of all hammond's stuff, this is definately the best.
Brown Bottle
This is the daddy of all funk fusion albums. Got this on Vinyl 12 years ago and its at deaths door so well done for bringing it out on cd.
