Flying Dutchman, the brainchild of the writer/producer Bob Thiele was one of the most innovative jazz labels to appear in the late `60s. The roster was wide & varied but had a common theme: quality. The label ran until 1976, and this thoughtful compilation tries to capture the essence and range of the label.
