Everyday

The hugely anticipated follow up to 1999`s impossibly brilliant `Motion` album finally gets a release, amid universal cries of "well worth the wait" etc, etc. Occasionally less jazzy than it`s predecessor in the beats department, `Every Day` also explores the kind of hip hop trajectory that`s more of a staple to Ninja fans, but remains fiercely progressive none the less. Excellent vocal contributions from soul/jazz diva Fontella Bass and homegrown hip hop poet Roots Manuva complement perfectly. Yep, it`s a winner.

Something else! All Things To All Men is one of the darkest tunes ive ever heard.Original, unique and cool as fuck.

There is a common English phrase - 'Floats like a butterly, stings like a bee'. Elements of beautiful soundscapes mixed with the setting sun of Roots Manuva's lyrical content, add up to a journey that only the voice of Fontella Bass can soothe. The musical metaphors seem endless, but The Cinematic Orchestra are who they say they are. My personal favourite is 'the Man with the Movie Camera', but I love sax, I also love the way the bass rumbles, & the changes are superb. This LP though, is consitant & every tune is class, from start to finish. In a world full of synthetic music, this is a breath of fresh air, & strikes the right balance. Let's have some more!

Rare quality music.

After the second time through the album it is striking just how good this is. There's a strange symmetry for such a peculiar muscial idea. This is some forward thinking stuff.
