Formed in 1999, Scenario Music came into being to act as a launch pad for the abundance of quality Italian-produced music the label's founders Luigi Lomolino and Salvo Lorusso were hearing. In their own words: "The name Scenario is a Latin word which meaning is the same in several languages and we thinked to join it to the word that we love more : Music". Got that? |

Specialising in modern interpretations of jazz, blunted beats, deep house, downtempo, bossa and nu-lounge, Scenario's first compilation, Bossa 'n' Go has already sold in excess of 10,000 copies - no mean feat for a set-up operating without any of the overblown marketing and promotions of 'the big boys'. Selected artists: Brazilian Wax, Sinclair (producer/DJ, inspired by '60s easy listening music), Cocktail Mood (deep house with Latino, jazz and soul references), Grand Central (deep house/jazz/funk/soul/downtempo live fusion band), Safe Noir, Estrela Guir and recently added to the roster: Hammond Express (Hammond-fuelled psychedelic jazz-dance), Mono Deluxe (eclectic nu-jazz), Headspace (ambient-jazz-soul-drum & bass), Land ('80s New Wave meets electro-breakbeat) and Ganesh (digital jazz). |
