About Catskills Records...
	Founded by Jonny Reggae and brothers Khalid and Amr Mallassi (aka Sonorous Star) back in 1996, Brighton independent Catskills grew out of Riddim Records, the reggae record shop Jonny established in his home town in '94.

Catskills Records Biography
Diversifying into hip hop, beats and quality eclectica, the current Catskills roster incorporates artists as diverse as Finnish chart botherers Pepe Deluxe, LA psychedelic hip hop dude and Ubiquity Records alumnus Nobody alongside home-grown acts like Bushy, Hardkandy, Black Grass and Sonorous Star. Also eminently worthy of a mention are the excellent 'Straight Out The Cat Litter' series of compilations, featuring assorted tracks from Catskillls artists over three volumes.
