About Afro Art...

Afro Art began some five years ago when Simone Beedle, wife and manager of DJ/producer Ashley, set up the label to release his various projects. Leaping into action with the hit track 'Universal Jones', a collaboration between Beedle and veteran DJ Bob Jones, it quickly became apparent that AA were onto something. |

Afro Art Biography

After a handful of well received releases, among them huge tracks from Black Science Orchestra, Beedle handed over the reigns to Paul Murphy, who initiated an in-house production team consisting of himself, Marc Woolford, Luke Howard and Winston Hazel, all of whom went on to sire acclaimed releases, including SuPaFiX's 'Ghetto:New Yorkshire', Souldrummers' 'Medicine Man', Dance Freak's 'In Dub' and Paul Murphy and Marc Woolford's 'Jazz Room'. Other artists on the label include UnitedEye, Cubalooba, Frogsnatcher and Ashley Slater, and the organisation also encapsulates a DJ agency with some serious talent on the books. |
