Compost Biography
|
|
Initially compared in the international press to labels like Talking Loud, Yellow Productions and Mo' Wax, Compost has demonstrated its individual strengths as an independent at the forefront of jazz, electronica, dancefloor and lounge music. Discerning beatheads across the globe look to Compost for influence and inspiration, and to date, it's safe to say they haven't put a foot wrong. Currently, Compost has more than 150 releases in it's catalogue, among them acclaimed compilation series like 'Future Sounds Of Jazz' (now up to number 9) and 'Glücklich' (Rainer Truby's Brazilian-influenced selections). In 1998, complimentary label JCR (Jazzanova-Compost-Records) was founded in collaboration with Jazzanova as a logical consequence of the close co-operation between the latter's DJ team and Compost Records. Compost artists: A Forest Mighty Black, Beanfield, Fauna Flash, Trüby Trio. JCR artists: Jazzanova, The Underwolves, Victor Davies, Koop, Yukihiro Fukutomi, DJ Matsuoka, Classen Collective. |
